At the request of plaintiff's counsel, Drake Exhibits was asked to build a model of a section of roadway in Raynham, Massachusetts where a serious motor vehicle accident occurred. The stretch of road was approximately 600 feet long and bordered on Route 44. The model was built to scale showing roadway, vegetation, buildings, light poles, berms, and four vehicles. The roadway was marked with 100' intervals to demonstrate travel distances. The model was approximately nine feet in length and four feet wide. The model was displayed on a rolling display stand that also tilted for optimal viewing by the jury.
The case went to trial where the model was used effectively as a chalk. A satisfactory settlement was reached shortly before the conclusion of witness testimony in the trial.
