Just before the Thanksgiving holiday in 2006, a massive explosion occurred in a residential section of Danversport, Massachusetts. Despite heavy damage to many homes, no one was killed. Fortunately the explosion happened in the early morning hours and most people were asleep. The property damage was enormous and affected several blocks of homes.
Drake Exhibits was retained along with several fire/explosion experts and investigators to document and reconstruct the site of the blast; an ink and paint manufacturing facility shared by two different companies.
Jeff Drake recorded measurements and photograhed the site. He also worked closely with the investigation team interviewing employess of the Arnel Co. drafting and revising plans of the building layout, construction, equipment, and chemical contents as they were described by the witnesses. A complete set of reconstruction plans was produced of the facility.
