A mason working on scaffolding at the Littleton High School project fell from the top tier and was severely injured. The plaintiff alleged that the side arm bracket supporting the planking he was standing on failed causing the accident. Suit was brought against the manufacturer and distributor of the scaffolding equipment.
A comparison between police photos, insurance adjuster's photos, and OSHA photos showed the locations of side arms and planks had been changed after the accident. The alleged defective side arm was removed from the center of the scaffold and it or another side arm bracket was placed in the end position where there was not one previously.
Drake Exhibits created a computer model of five scaffold sections along with the wall of the building to illustrate the accident scene and show the conditions present when each set of photos was taken.
